The use of npc.co.uk and npc.nhs.uk is subject to the following terms and conditions:
Using npc.co.uk and npc.nhs.uk
The NPC on behalf of the Department of Health owns the npc.co.uk and npc.nhs.uk (NPC websites) which are maintained for your personal use and viewing. The access and use of npc.nhs.uk featuring these terms and conditions constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions. They take effect from the date on which you first use this website. If you do not agree to be legally bound by those terms please do not access and/or use www.npc.co.uk or www.npc.nhs.uk
We may make changes to the NPC websites, including these terms, at any time. You will be legally bound by the updated or amended terms from the first time that you use NPC websites after we put the changes on line.
You agree to use these sites only for lawful purposes, and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this site by any third party. Such restriction or inhibition includes, without limitation, conduct which is unlawful, or which may harass or cause distress or inconvenience to any person, and the transmission of obscene or offensive content or disruption of normal flow of dialogue within this site.

We do not object to you linking directly to the information that is hosted on our sites. We do not permit our pages to be loaded into frames on your site; npc.co.uk and npc.nhs.uk pages must load into the user’s entire window.
The National Prescribing Centre reserves the right to move or change its website URLs at any time in order to meet changing business needs and to continually improve its online service. External websites link to the NPC websites at their own risk. We do not encourage deep linking but recommend linking to section homepages which are less likely to move or change.

Links contained in npc.co.uk and npc.nhs.uk will lead to other websites which are not under our control. We are not responsible for the content of any linked site. Listing and linking should not be taken as an endorsement of any kind and we accept no
liability in respect of the content. We cannot guarantee that these links will work all of the time and have no control over the availability of the linked pages.
Intellectual property rights
Material on NPC websites and other linked NHS websites is protected by copyright. You must not use material protected by copyright without the permission of the owner of the copyright.
For your own personal, non commercial use you may copy, download, adapt or print off copies of the materials, information, data and other content on NPC websites(NPC content”) where the copyright is Crown copyright. You will need to obtain permission in writing from the copyright owners before you make any other use of NPC websites content.
NPC materials may be downloaded / copied freely by people employed by the NHS in England for purposes that support NHS activities in England. The rights in images, trade marks, trade names, logos included on NPC websites are owned by us and / or third parties. You will need to obtain permission in writing from the owner before you may use these images, trade marks, trade names, logos in any way.
The NPC on behalf of the Department of Health owns the intellectual property rights to the methods of searching, presentation of information, certain displays and arrangements of information content, graphics, layout, design and other features of the NPC websites. The NPC does not grant you a licence to use its intellectual property except to the extent necessary for your personal use of the NPC websites in accordance with the terms as set out in these Terms and Conditions of Use for NPC websites.
Liability
We exclude any liability to you should NPC websites not be available at any particular time.
We do not accept any liability to you for any of the following types of loss or damage (which you may suffer as a result of your use of NPC websites) whether the losses were foreseen, foreseeable, unforeseen, unforeseeable, known, unknown or otherwise:
a) loss which arose when you first accessed or registered to use NPC websites (even if that loss results from our failure to comply with these terms or our negligence);
b) any business loss you may suffer, including loss of revenue, loss of profits or loss of anticipated savings (whether those losses are the direct or indirect result of our default);
c) loss which you suffer other than as a result of our failure to comply with these terms or our negligence or breach of statutory duty;
d) any loss suffered due to the default of any party other than us.
We do not warrant that NPC websites or any content will be available uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that NPC websites or their supporting systems are free of viruses or bugs.
We do not accept any liability to you if we fail, or are interrupted or delayed in the performance of any obligation because of:
a) the non-availability or failure of any telecommunications or computer services, systems, equipment or software operated or provided by you or any third party;
b) any other event not reasonably within our control.
We do not give any commitments or accept any liability to you in respect of NPC content provided by other users of the website or third parties.
Accuracy
Every effort is made to ensure that the information contained in the NPC websites is accurate and up to date. However, please be aware that things do change – take note of the date of the publication, and seek further advice from the NPC if in any doubt. We do not accept any liability for the use made by you of the information.
Remedies
To the extent that we are practically able to do so, we may terminate your access to any part of NPC websites at any time without notice if you breach any of the terms and conditions You may terminate your registration, where applicable, by unsubscribing on the following link http://www.npc.co.uk/mynpc.
General
If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then the remaining terms shall remain in full force and effect.
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England
