The NPC has run therapeutic workshops for a number of years and has developed a well-earned reputation for the quality and format of these events. These workshops are aimed primarily at primary-care prescribing advisers but are attended by many other healthcare professionals such as GPs, prescribing technicians, hospital pharmacists and prison pharmacists. They are run across the whole of England Wales and Northern Ireland by our team of experienced NPC Training Advisers (link). The workshops rely on an informal, but intensive atmosphere to promote effective learning (i.e. problem-based learning where the audience is invited to inform the agenda, within an overall framework of core topics, rather than didactic teaching).
