In April this year,
the National Prescribing Centre began hosting elements
of the Medicines Partnership Programme. The Medicines
Partnership Programme is now part of NPC Plus and
located at Keele University.
Medicines Partnership was established by the Department
of Health in 2002 and has promoted the concept of
concordance - or shared decision-making - as an approach
to help patients to get the most from their medicines.
Within NPC Plus the programme will focus on developing
and delivering training and support to health care
professionals to assist them to engage in shared decision
making with patients about medicines.
On this website you will find Medicines Partnership
publications and information about forthcomming Medicines
Partnership events and services.
If you would like to find out more about what Medicines
Partnership has to offer please contact Dr Wendy Clyne,
