Formal Management & Accountability Framework

The Director of the NPC is directly accountable to a formal Management Board chaired by the Head of the Primary Care Division at the NHS Executive. The Board, made up of senior personnel from the Executive and the NHS, meets twice yearly to receive progress reports from the Director and to provide guidance on the strategic development of NPC activities. The NPC's budget for 1997/98 was just over £1.15m.
