The current reforms of the NHS are
fundamentally changing the delivery
of health care and, in particular,
prescribing and medicines management.
The NHS is striving towards patient
centred care; providing equitable
access to high quality and cost effective
medicine use; ensuring better use
of health care professionals through
extensions of responsibilities, such
as prescribing, and; providing additional
help to patients in the use of their
medicines to reduce illness and cut
waste.
